Channel X Radio is owned by the CanXus Broadcasting Corporation, a Maine company with three shareholders, all residents of Aroostook County, and veteran broadcasters with 115-years of combined broadcast experience. We began service to this international area in 1986…30-years ago. All three have been named Broadcasters of the Year at various times by the Maine Association of Broadcasters.
Channel X Radio broadcasts…simulcasts…from four locations in Aroostook County, all four along the New Brunswick border: Caribou-Presque Isle-Fort Fairfield, Madawaska, Van Buren, and Fort Kent *. We are on the air, in stereo, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. As a result, we serve more people in Aroostook County, with a city-grade coverage signal, than any of our broadcast competitors. And remember, Aroostook County is the sixth largest county in the state of Maine with a population of 70,000. In addition, we place a city grade signal over an area of New Brunswick that is home to about 53,000 people.
